I wrote an opinion piece about Snell in the Otago Daily Times in 2012 and when I caught up with him in Auckland recently, I took the opportunity of giving him a copy of my article. Well, after passing the hat around his friends and receiving a grant from the Alexander McMillan Trust, I’m pleased to announce that the plaque for Davin has been cast and will be unveiled at a special Dunedin Writers and Readers Festival event on 8th May 2015.
